Cap Digital, in collaboration with BRGM (Bureau of Geological and Mining Research) and leading partners in digital innovation, is driving forward the AI4Minerals initiative a groundbreaking innovation contest focused on leveraging AI to transform mineral resource exploration and analysis.

🧪 What is AI4Minerals?

This program challenges participants to apply machine learning, data science, and advanced geostatistics to large-scale geochemical datasets to identify mineral anomalies. These anomalies help locate zones of interest for future exploration, while distinguishing between natural signals and anthropogenic noise (e.g. pollution).

Key technical goals include:

Generating multi-element anomaly maps from thousands of geochemical samples
Cross-analyzing data using AI models for rare earth elements and critical raw materials
Integrating geophysical data for further validation
Building scalable solutions for global application in mineral exploration

The challenge aims to select 2-3 winning projects to enter R&D partnerships with BRGM.
