Anju is based in Singapore and specializes in engineering growth for B2B tech ventures with his 'Go To Market Strategy & Activation’ expertise across Asian markets especially in Singapore, India, Japan, and SouthEast Asia region.
His earlier career spanned across commercial leadership roles with P&L responsibilities managing multicultural teams with FMCG MNCs like P&G, GSK and BIC, before his eventual reinvention in the startup economy in 2013. He is deeply involved with various nodes of this innovation ecosystem ever since and nurtured an extensive network across 15 countries to support the vision of a platform cooperative called Startup-O (video), that he co-founded in 2017 that worked for the founders, the experts and the investors congruously. The tech enabled proprietary process combined expert led evaluations, data driven rating algorithms, insightful reporting and transparent sharing for informed investment decisions.
The platform grew to onboard 2500+ startups from across 40+ countries, whereas he personally got involved with an estimated 75 startups to different degrees including fund investments in 30+ startups, scaling up 10+ B2B ventures, advisory board duties for 7 companies and help build scores of others in partnership with Enterprise Singapore SG Founder program. He carved 30+ global institutional partnerships including accelerators, family offices, government agencies & others.
He has shared his rich learnings about 'New Venture Creation' at academic institutions like NUS, SMU, INSEAD, NTU & Lithan Hall in Singapore and has additionally trained 200+ startup founders while leading a structured startup bootcamp across a period of 3 years. He also developed & delivered digital transformation programs for large corporations like M1 (telco) and advised C-Suite on engagement with the innovation economy.
With a solid foundation in FMCG channel sales, performance marketing, venture capital portfolio management coupled with an intuitive understanding of customer psychology in C-Suite decision making arena, his superpower lies in working alongside founders & corporate chiefs engineering growth for their B2B ventures, while forging strong strategic partnerships & influencing large networks.
